Welcome to our communnty! We encourage deep historical research, lively discussion, and the sharing of personal family histories. To keep our community educational and welcoming for everyone, please follow these rules:

  • Focus on the History: Keep your comments focused on the historical event, article, or era shown in the post.

  • Respect the Past and Present: Discussing difficult historical truths is welcome, but personal attacks, insults, or harassment directed at other community members will not be tolerated.

  • No Hate Speech or Bigotry: We have zero tolerance for racism, sexism, homophobia, religious intolerance, or any form of hate speech.

  • Contextualize, Don’t Glorify: When discussing outdated language or offensive viewpoints found in historical prints, analyze them critically rather than glorifying or promoting them.

  • Verify Your Facts: Please share sources, links, or context when correcting historical data to help keep our archive accurate.

  • Protect Privacy: Do not share modern, private personal information (doxxing) of living individuals or other users.

  • No Spam or Self-Promotion: Avoid posting repetitive comments, external links to unrelated commercial products, or political commentary about modern, non-historical events.

Our moderation team reviews reported comments daily. Violating these rules may result in the temporary or permanent muting of your account.
